The Klan was created by the Democrats. The NRA was formed by the Republicans to arm Free Blacks. The implication that the rhetoric of the Klan carries over today with “xenophobia” with “immigration”. An open border isn’t good for any nation. America First isn’t the KKK now. That’s BS. Richard Spencer, the head of the White Nationalists, supports Biden. America First is America First. Not a hearkening back to Democrat Klansmen.

Woodrow Wilson made the Klan popular nationwide. He played the film Birth of a Nation in the White House.

Quite a hot take on Indiana history!

Lafayette Square Mall used to be a wonderful place for the family to come and shop until it got to the point when you couldn't even park there without your car being stolen or having to put up with gangs roaming inside. This Mall just like everything else that used to be good had to close down from crime activities and the surrounding areas being taken over by those I will not name, but I'm sure we all agree on..

Very wrong on the year of filming. Some of the buildings weren't even started then and there are late 1960's and early 1970's vintage cars in the film. The City County building construction started in 1962 I believe and appears to be completed.

If interested I live about one mile north of cache where the infamous pirate colonial plug died in the hold of a boat he was scuddling. I have seen the bottom of the boat he died in as the son of a third generation commercial fisherman and stories were handed down

This brings back memories! I was in my junior year at Lawrence Central High in Indy. "The Bears" didn't do well in that school year of '68 - '69. I know in the regional plays, Washington H.S. beat us pretty well. McGinnis and Downing tore L.C. apart. Nothing like these old film clips of decades ago! Channel 6 (WFBM-TV) had, along with the Indianapolis TV stations of WISH - 8 & WLWI - 13 had good sportcasters yet, Tom Carnegie along with John Totten during the many years together at WFBM (that became WRTV in the early 70's, I think) had the lead in the news area along with WISH's Mike Ahern. This was fun to watch! Thanks for posting it.
